Best Father / Son conversation I've heard in a while:

Pastor Net: Please shush

Son Jonathan: Shush is not a polite word daddy.

Pastor Net: Sorry Son, you are right, Daddy is sorry.

Son Jonathan: Its not me you should be saying sorry to, you should say sorry to God.......

 

Just goes to show that when you train your children, it eventually does stick (and may come right back at YOU!) Hehehehehe

Akward moments

Akward Moment:  Standing in line at Officeworks for twenty minutes waiting for the bank to approve a check cause none of us jokers have an Australian drivers license. Love Ywamers!

How cold is tooo cold?

When is too cold, TOOOO cold?

Story from Manasa in Mongolia - this week my boyfriend Manasa moved from his apartment onto the YWAM base dorms in Darhan Mongolia.This move will help his save a bit more money before heading to South Korea next month to apply for a visitor visa to be able to visit me in April in Brisbane Australia.  They started the move about 4pm so quickly the sun set and the temperature dropped to almost -40....
Two signs that its tooooooo cold:
1) his plant wilted immediately after hitting the cold air
2) his glass coffee table shattered after ten minutes in the cold (not simply cracked, but small pieces shattered)

WOW! Makes me thankful for the heat here ! Even on our unusually rainy days. Queensland has had some flooding the past two weeks, the worst being areas hit south of us but thankful it does not compare to the floods of last year. This time last year we were regularly helping with flood cleanup around the Brisbane area. Our YWAM base is situated on higher ground so we have never been fearful of being flooded, just sometimes having to stay put because roads are closed...

Good reminder that God will never give us more than we can handle! We just sometimes underestimate ourselves !

Update on Waqa's health

Waqa and Jade were able to fly back to Brisbane on Wednesday. Went to visit him yesterday and he is doing better, still on medications and walking slowly, with a bed out in the living room but he is thankful to be home with his family. Praying God continues the healing process.

Personally I've been taking amoxicillin the last few days for a possible urinary track infection. I had a followup ultrasound on the area I had surgery on in August and that has come back clear. I am thankful not to need followup with that for a while. It seems our base continues to be hit with medical distractions as our Tongan staff, Metui, is still on a few days off after being sick with fever, body aches etc...
We must be heading a right direction~

Prayer request for Island Breeze Brisbane director's health

My director, Waqa, is currently in Fiji at a YWAM international conference following the last three weeks of rugby outreach. He has come down with some serious infections and boils and may possibly have to have surgery on Monday. He has called for his wife Jade (here in australia) to come to Fiji so she will be flying tomorrow morning. Please pray for quick healing, discernment for doctors and stop of the infections (they are always concerned about it turning into blood infection when one is in the islands). They have four children who will be watched by a couple of us on the base. The oldest girl, Kali ten years old, has already been having a difficult time with her dad gone for so long and it quite upset at having her mother leaving also. Jade has also been having an ongoing struggle regulating medicines with a bleeding issue in her uterus and will possibly have surgery in two weeks.
We are seeing quite a pattern of Satan using illness to slow down or distract the people on our staff (including myself) and we are praying against this pattern and for angels of healing and protection on everyone. Thank you for your prayer support!
