Tentative Schedule

Here's an update on my tentative schedule:
I am currently in Chicago until tomorrow, Wedn Dec 9th. Ill fly into Minneapolis and spend the rest of December in Iowa between my parents, grandparents and sister's house. January should include a trip to St Croix to pack up and say goodbyes. Also will be doing some fundraising, and preparing to move to Australia. Lord willing, by the end of January, I will be moving to Island Breeze Brisbane to become staff and work primarily in Community outreach. Thanks for your support!
Praise the Lord for traveling mercies....

Chicago

My godsons, Josiah and Jayden meeting me at the airport! Their hugs are the BEST FIRST THING to do back home- HUGSSSS.

Made it back into Chicago safe and sound, a little tired and jetlagged. There is something special about flying over chicago at night... maybe something sentimental in me. Walking out of the plane into the waiting stands for Chicago style hotdogs, italian beef sandwitches or Nuts on Clark. It is COLD here... and Im not used to it. I could see my breath the first time I stepped outside the doors and was thankful my friend Jenny and the boys brought my winter coat with them. Went to my church, the Vineyard, this morning and heard a wonderful message about the value of 'waiting' and that we should push ourselves past asking god 'what do i need, what am i waiting for' to asking Him 'what do i REALLY need and what am I REALLY waiting for'. For example if you are praying/waiting for a new job- what you REALLY are waiting for is financial provision, security, freedom from worry etc... Was a great message and received encouraging prayer afterwards. I also got to reconnect with good friends and those I claim as 'family'. Its feeling a bit more like Christmas with everyone's outside lights on an the cold. Need to get back to being used to pennies, and american football (the vikings on right now). Very different from Rugby. Glad to be home!

Last lunch in Brisbane

My last lunch at Island Breeze... Jerry, Metui and Jason as well as Amy and I sat around in a circle eating watermelon and sausages.... will miss the 'go with the flow' attitude of life here. Exciting about future opportunities to connect with the community and build relationships here. My main prayer request right now is for airfare money to return, as well as continued health, favor with visas and money for a car. This afternoon we are going on a staff picnic which will be fun! Enjoying the heat while I can, before cold Chicago hits.
